John is the Worldwide Managing Partner, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Finovate, where he oversees global strategy and operations while preserving Bain\u2019s renowned culture. With over 20 years at the firm, John has advised global CEOs and is a recognized expert in deal advisory and value creation for portfolio companies.<\/p>\n

He has a strong background in private equity, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and consumer products. John is also involved in sustainability initiatives and serves on the Board of Directors of Cancer, a non-profit focused on fighting pediatric cancer. He graduated from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University in 2001 and began his career at the Ministry of Finance in 2002. Between 2004 and 2020, he served as a Tax Auditor and Tax Inspector in Istanbul, Erzurum, and Antalya. In addition to his auditing duties, he held roles on report evaluation commissions, committees assessing complaints and audit requests, and served as training and audit coordinator.<\/p>\n

After leaving public service in 2020, he has continued his professional career as a Sworn-in Certified Public Accountant (SCPA), Independent Auditor, and Sustainability Auditor. He also holds the credentials of Certified Public Internal Auditor and Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP).<\/p>\n

In addition to his professional work, Kaplan continues his academic pursuits.
